How much of the premium are you really paying for?
We combine documented factory or tobacco relationships with live price-per-cigar data. Same factory is not treated as same blend, and live comparisons are only shown when the catalog supports a fair same-vitola comparison.
We do not call two cigars the same blend unless a manufacturer or other strong primary source says so. Factory origin alone is not enough.

These cards use current in-stock crawler data. “Best” means the lowest observed price per cigar across live offers; median gives extra context so one unusual pack deal does not define the entire comparison.

Useful clue about production standards and house expertise. It does not prove shared tobacco.
Shared tobacco / components
A stronger relationship. The manufacturer confirms that some tobacco, trimmings or blend family components overlap.
Confirmed same blend / rebrand
The strongest claim, and the rarest. This requires explicit evidence, not forum repetition or similar tasting notes.
Documented evidence map
Drew Estate says Papas Fritas uses trimmings from the three core Liga Privada expressions: No. 9, T52 and H99. That is a real tobacco-component relationship, not just a same-factory assumption.
Undercrown was created by Drew Estate factory workers after the company asked rollers to stop smoking so many Liga Privada cigars because demand was high. The story links the two families historically, but Drew Estate describes Undercrown as its own blend.
Both are rolled at J.C. Newman PENSA in Estelí. J.C. Newman lists both brands under the same factory, but does not claim they use the same blend.
My Father’s factory produces Garcia-family cigars and documented third-party Tatuaje products. That makes factory lineage relevant, but there is no basis to label a lower-priced Tatuaje as the same blend as a more expensive My Father cigar unless a specific release says so.
These lines share Oliva’s Nicaraguan production heritage but are described by Oliva as distinct blends. Melanio is positioned as a more premium expression; Serie V and Serie O use different blend descriptions and should not be described as the same cigar under another band.
Aganorsa describes Aniversario Corojo as using 100% Aganorsa Leaf tobacco. JFR Corojo is also listed with Aganorsa Corojo wrapper plus Aganorsa binder and filler. This confirms a shared producer and tobacco system, but not an identical blend or identical proportions.
What the site will never do
We will not publish “Brand X is exactly Brand Y with a different band” as fact without direct evidence. Same factory, same tobacco grower, same wrapper family or similar tasting notes are useful context — none alone proves an identical blend.
Every new matched retailer offer improves the live value calculation. The evidence relationship stays stable, while the price gap changes automatically with current market data.
